I stay 4 night at the Baron Hotel and wish I had paid more to get better service and rest. Upon arrival 12:30 pm, we're told that the rooms weren't ready until after 3 pm. The reception staff was polite but dry not much into suggestions on what to do for 3 hours. My wife and I decided to take a walk in 50 degree temperature to kill time. At 2:30 pm we had enough when back to the baron the receptionist told us that he had a twin bed room, in desperation we agreed to take it. The room was so small it did not have space for our 4 small size suitcases. Beside not having a board and iron to press our cloths, just having to leave the key at the front desk everytime we left the room was a pain in butt. However, our problems began on Friday night. The 2nd floor room to took unknowingly sits over the entrance of the hotel and pub. At 11pm, drunk customers and bar employee would sit outside screaming, laughing, and smoking. We're unable to sleep until 4am in the morning. In numerous occasions I call the front desk to complain but the same guy (Mr. Jimenez Hispanic) would say the same thing over "we have a bar on the first floor" and I can't do anything about it. So, I requested another room or threaten to call the cops and he would take action. And sure enough it would calm down for several minutes, but drunkard are of short memory. Next morning the staff refused to contact the manager. Maybe the other rooms in the back of the building are better, but accept a room over the entrance. The breakfast sucks, by 8:15 am, all three boxes of pastries were empty and nobody to talk to about it. Never saw the manager. In short get that hotel off your website, I have recommended your site to my airline marketing staff and pilots. Thanx. Nikki Colon

The attached bar/restaurant was convenient The location (within a block of Dupont Circle) was very good the price, given it was in the District, was very reasonable (I paid $89/night)

The room was small and barren and the decor felt old and dirty. The facility needs updating (the elevator did not work) and there we limited amenities in the rooms. This truly was a room with a television set and a bed. It met my needs for this trip, but just barely.

The staff is impressively friendly and helpful. One of the best parts for beer lovers is The Bier Baron downstairs (the former Brickskeller)! It is a beer lover's paradise: They have a single-sheet food menu and a BOOK for their beer menu! And the servers there are mind-bogglingly knowledgeable about beer. They encourage you to try tastes of the tap beers and can talk beer esoterica with the baddest beer aficionados! (A shout-out to Jose and Andre!) The hotel rooms are clean and Spartan. It's not a luxury hotel, but who cares, right? The price, if you book WAY in advance, is very reasonable, especially for downtown DC. I highly recommend the Hotel Baron AND the Bier Baron! — John Wilpers

      Price, location, and comfort.

      (1) The noise outside the hotel at night can be loud when people talk after leavng the Baron Bier tavern restaurant. Staff shoudl work with the tavern to remind people to be quiet r keep conversations inside the tavern or down the street. (2) Staff did not relay a message from the car service to pick me up earlier to get to the airport on time.

This hotel was the greatest disapointment I've booked through Booked.net. The description and photos are a complete lie. I've payed for a double room with a view and got an annex with something I can barely call a window that led to the back. There's no iron or ironing board also. When I've asked for a room that complied with what I've payed for they said they were fully booked and couldn't find a way to solve the issue ... showed no effort at all. Avoid booking this hotel at all costs. Any cheap hostel can beat this easily. This property is a bar with a cheap hotel at an expensive cost. They also "forgot" to tell that there's a 150$ pledge if you don't want to hand out or don't have a credit card. Truly sad sad experience.
